About this spot

This is the lawn plaza at Iwamizawa Park, the venue for the fireworks festival. As evening approaches, people gradually begin to gather for the fireworks. Spread a picnic sheet on the spacious lawn, enjoy dinner, and wait for the show to begin. Being able to claim a relaxed spot, thanks to the open park, is also part of the appeal.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from central Iwamizawa's shopping street. Parking gets crowded early on the day, so arriving early is recommended. Don't forget insect repellent, either.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour and 15 minutes needed. Around sunset, the lawn is cool and pleasant.
