About this spot
Held on the banks of the Arida River and at Arida Sun Bridge near Arida City Hall, this fireworks festival is named for the wealthy Edo-period merchant Kinokuniya Bunzaemon. Starting at 8:20 pm, about 3,000 fireworks shells launch into the night sky, coloring an autumn night in Arida scented with mikan. Unlike summer fireworks festivals, the appeal here is enjoying the fireworks in the crisp, clear air of autumn.
