About this spot

A shrine that has long been cherished as the guardian shrine of Iwatsuki, its greatest highlight being the long approach covered in dense trees. The deeper you walk into the approach, the clearer the air feels, and the tree shade brings coolness even on hot summer days. There is also a pond within the grounds, making it a calm spot where you can spend a peaceful moment. It also tends to be relatively uncrowded even on the day of the fireworks festival, allowing for a relaxed visit.

Tips

About a 20-minute walk from the shopping street in front of Iwatsuki Station; taking the bus is also convenient. The approach is long, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Admission is free, and the next stop, Iwatsuki Castle Ruins Park, is also within walking distance.
