This is the climax of the Tsuruichi Hanagasahoko Festival Fireworks Display, held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Yamakuni River riverbed in Mikuchi. Starting at 7:30 p.m., fireworks color the night sky over the Yamakuni River, and the gorge's distinctive terrain makes the launch sounds echo powerfully across the scene. Combined with the gorge scenery of Aonodomon and Rakan-ji visited earlier in the day, it becomes a special night where you can fully enjoy both the nature of Yabakei and the fireworks.

Roads get congested after the event ends, so it's recommended to wait a while before heading home.
