About this spot

This is Oita University's campus spread across Hasama-machi, Yufu City, and its lush, green grounds have well-maintained paths for strolling. It has the calm atmosphere unique to a student town, and you can walk at ease while taking in the greenery of the trees. It's not a flashy tourist spot, but there's plenty of nature around, making it easy to find shade to rest in even on a hot day. It's perfect for a short stroll before heading on to Yufugawa Gorge.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Minami-Yufu Station. There are many paths within the campus that general visitors can walk, but be mindful not to disturb facility users. Remember to stay hydrated in summer.
