About this spot

This outdoor leisure facility in the mountains centers on Suki Falls (Mamako Falls) and Lake Ono. It includes the hot spring Kajika-no-Yu (かじかの湯), which has an open-air bath, an indoor cypress-wood bath, and a sauna; four thatched-roof cottages that can each be rented as a private lodging, called Kayabuki no Yado Karukaya (かやぶきの宿かるかや); as well as a restaurant and a shop. The riverside scenery, surrounded by mountains, is peaceful, and walking it while it is still light makes it easier to picture how to spend the evening ahead of the fireworks festival. Take your time to enjoy the mountain-village scenery that is part of everyday life here.

Tips

You can continue on here straight from your walk to Suki Falls. During times of strong sunlight, choose shaded spots to rest as you walk. It is a good idea to bring drinks with you in advance.
