About this spot

This is a general sports park in the center of Takazaki-cho, Miyakonojo City. It features a baseball field with 93-meter foul lines, a 400-meter track athletics stadium, a general gymnasium, all-weather tennis courts, a martial arts hall, and a multipurpose plaza, and the grounds also include a heated pool, a hot spring, and a park golf course. It is a popular training-camp destination for many teams, mainly in student baseball, and its spacious grounds are also well suited to a leisurely walk. In the quiet setting typical of Takazaki-cho, known as a Town of Beautiful Starry Skies, you can calmly start your day ahead of the evening fireworks.

Tips

Visiting by car is convenient, and there is free parking nearby. The summer sun can be strong, so a hat or parasol is reassuring. Since this is also a residential access road, please stroll quietly and be considerate of local residents.
