This is the riverbank along the Kamiichi River that serves as tonight's fireworks venue. As evening approaches, townspeople begin to gather, and a festive mood gradually spreads. Enjoying dinner you brought or light food from stalls while relaxing in the river breeze and waiting for the show to begin has a comfort unique to this mountain town.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Ryūsen-ji Temple on Mt. Ganmoku. Parking and nearby roads get congested on the day of the festival, so early arrival is recommended. There are many insects at night, so bring insect repellent.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 45 minutes needed. It is best to secure a spot before sunset.
