This is a historic temple known for its imposing Nio Gate, designated an Important Cultural Property. Said to have been founded during the Kamakura period, the temple grounds are wrapped in a quiet atmosphere surrounded by trees. The approach leading through the Nio Gate to the main hall has a charming feel, making this a perfect place to calmly settle your mind before the lively festival.

About a 10-minute drive from Mori Clan Garden. The grounds are rich in nature, so insect-repellent measures are reassuring. The gate closes as evening approaches, so an early visit is recommended.
