About this spot

This eatery is along National Route 284, about a 3-minute walk after crossing Kitakami Ohashi Bridge. It offers udon, soba, set meals, curry, and more, and the rice served is locally grown Kadosaki Medaka rice (門崎めだか米). Besides counter seating, there are table seats and tatami seats, and the parking lot is fairly spacious. After filling up here, head to the Kitakami riverbed. Food stalls sometimes line the area, and once you've spread out a leisure sheet to secure a spot, you can relax and watch the sky change color while waiting for the roughly 10,000 fireworks.

Tips

It's recommended to secure your spot early. The surrounding roads get very congested from evening onward, so if you're coming by car, allow plenty of time.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours needed. This is the time to enjoy the changing colors of the sunset sky.
