About this spot

This open riverside area spreads out near the mouth of the Gonokawa River, which boasts one of the widest river widths in the Chugoku region. In the spacious green space, children can run around freely, and you can feel the leisurely flow unique to a great river up close. Tonight's fireworks will be launched from near the mouth of the river downstream, so taking in the river's grandeur during the day makes the evening viewing even more enjoyable.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the Gotsu Honmachi street. There's little to block the sun, so don't forget sun protection and hydration in summer. The ground can be soft in places along the riverside, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
