A roadside station in the Nichihara district of Tsuwano, lined with fresh locally grown vegetables and fruit, and specialty products made from the bounty of the Takatsu River. In its peaceful mountain-village atmosphere, it's a warm spot where you can also enjoy chatting with locals. The light-meal corner inside also serves dishes made with local ingredients. Start by setting the mood for your trip here, ahead of the fireworks festival.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Nichihara Station on the JR Yamaguchi Line. The local direct-sales corner can get crowded during summer vacation, so a visit in the morning to early afternoon is recommended. It's convenient to travel by car to the next stop, the headwaters of the Takatsu River (Orochigaike Pond).
