The river bank of the Hiji River, which serves as the venue for the Ozu River Festival Fireworks Grand Display. As evening approaches, food stalls line up and locals begin to gather. Settle down on the open river bank and have an early dinner with festival food and takeout before the fireworks begin. As the sun sets, the silhouettes of Ozu Castle and the castle town are painted in the sunset glow—a sight unique to this time of day.
Tips
Approximately 10 minutes by car from Ozu Red Brick Hall. On the day of the fireworks festival, surrounding roads become congested from evening onward, so allow extra time for travel. It is advisable to secure food and drinks early.
