About this spot

A beach on the south side of Kozushima Port with about 650 meters of white sand continuing along the coast. Just a short walk from the island's central area, where guesthouses and shops gather, it also has public restrooms and hot-water showers nearby. After playing in the sea, have dinner in the Maehama area and fill up in preparation for the fireworks. As the sun leans, the whole village settles into a calm atmosphere. Since the viewing area is right by the harbor, it is reassuring to head to the beach with a picnic sheet after your meal and secure a spot early.

Tips

As the island has a limited number of restaurants, an early visit is recommended on the day of the summer fireworks display. Shops can sell out quickly, so allow plenty of time to stock up on drinks. The area around the venue gets crowded on the day, so move around early.

About 1 hour 30 minutes needed. Easier to move around in the cooler time before sunset
