Panoramic views of the Hakusan foothills from the mountain castle ruins associated with the Ikkou Ikki

About this spot

The ruins of a mountain fortress built as one of the bases of the Kaga Ikkou Ikki during the Sengoku period, designated as a National Historic Site. Earthen ramparts, stone walls, and moats remain in excellent condition, allowing visitors to envision the area's past. From the summit, a magnificent landscape spreads across the mountains of the Hakusan foothills and the settlements of the Toriyoichi area, offering both historical exploration and scenic views. This is the very historic stage that inspired tonight's "Ikkou Ikki Festival," providing a precious experience.
