About this spot
A fireworks show that colors the night sky of Uraga, a port town also known as the place where Commodore Perry's fleet arrived in the late Edo period. Thanks to the intimacy of this small harbor, crossed by ferry, you can experience about 500 fireworks up close. While not large in scale, it has long been cherished by locals as a community-rooted fireworks show tied to the port town's history. As the finale to a day spent crossing by ferry and visiting the old shrines, look up at the harbor's night sky together with your family.

Tips
The event may be cancelled in bad weather, so check Yokosuka City's official announcements on the day. Roads around the venue are narrow, so access on foot or by public transportation is recommended. Since the road to the station gets crowded afterward, it's smoother to enjoy the afterglow for a while before heading home.
