A street of locally rooted shops spreading in front of JR Joban Line Nakoso Station (JR勿来駅). It's the perfect size for grabbing a meal before heading to the fireworks display or purchasing any needed items. While not a major tourist destination, it has a calm, locally-authentic charm.

2026年8月29日(土)19時から開催される、いわき市南部の夏を彩る花火大会です。鮫川の河川敷から約2,000発の花火が次々と打ち上がり、静かな川面に光が映り込む様子も見どころのひとつです。出店のにぎわいの中、レジャーシートに座って見上げる花火は、夏の締めくくりにふさわしい光景です。開けた河川敷なので、家族連れでもゆったりと観覧できます。
Tips
荒天時は中止・順延となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので、スマホのライトがあると安心です。

Conveniently located right from Nakoso Station with parking available in front of the station if traveling by car. Business hours vary by store, so it's reassuring to check in advance. The next destination, Nakoso Barrier Ruins, is about 10 minutes away by car.

Approximately 45 minutes required. The early afternoon time slot is relatively quiet for strolling around.
