About this spot

This is a lively area centered on Big-I (ビッグアイ), the high-rise complex that rises in front of Koriyama Station, gathering many restaurants and shops. For lunch, you can take your pick from restaurants and a food court inside the building. The upper floors also have an observation floor, offering a sweeping view of Koriyama's cityscape and the surrounding mountains. It's a reassuring spot to spend a relaxed time indoors and out of the heat before the fireworks, and it's handy on rainy or scorching days too.

Tips

Conveniently located right by JR Koriyama Station. The observation floor has set operating hours, so check in advance. If you want to avoid the busiest times for shopping and dining, right after opening is recommended.

About 1 hour. It's relatively calm just before or after the lunch rush.
