This is the fireworks festival that colors summer in Happo Town, Akita Prefecture, held from 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (Mountain Day). Fireworks launch one after another from Hachimori Nakahama Beach, facing the Sea of Japan, and the boom of the launches mixing with the sound of the waves delivers a sense of presence unique to the seaside. Watching the fireworks while seated on a picnic sheet amid the bustle of the food stalls is a scene perfectly suited to summer vacation memories. Since the venue is open and faces the sea, you can fully enjoy the fireworks from any spot.
