On the day of the fireworks festival, food stalls line Hachimori Nakahama Beach, and a festive atmosphere spreads from the evening onward. After returning from Iwadate Beach, spread out a picnic sheet to secure a viewing spot while having dinner from the food stalls. The time when the sun sets over the Sea of Japan makes for a pleasant wait before the fireworks begin.
Tips
From the evening of the fireworks day onward, both the parking lots and the roads around the beach get congested. It's recommended to get your food early, before the stalls get crowded. Please take your trash home with you.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 45 minutes. The sunset hour, as the sun sinks into the Sea of Japan, is recommended.
