An old market street in Katsumoto, a port town in the northern part of Iki Island (壱岐島). Shops selling fresh seafood, dried fish, and local island souvenirs line the street, with a relaxed atmosphere typical of a port town. While the early morning market is most famous, you can still enjoy the island's atmosphere by browsing nearby shops even in the early afternoon. Katsumoto Port (勝本港), where tonight's fireworks festival will take place, is right nearby, so this is a good place to begin your island exploration.

開催時間は当日発表のため、壱岐市や大会公式の情報を事前に確認しておきましょう。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があります。終了後は港周辺が混み合うため、フェリーや宿への移動時間に余裕を持たせておくと安心です。
Tips
From Gono Port (郷ノ浦港) or Ashibe Port (芦辺港), bus or taxi transportation is standard. Since shops have different hours, it's helpful to check ahead which ones are open. The next destination, Omdake Shrine (男嶽神社), is about 10 minutes away by car.
