About this spot

Katsumoto Port is one of Iki Island's leading fishing ports and also tonight's fireworks festival venue. As evening falls, the sight of fishing boats lined up along the harbor is bathed in the sunset, and a leisurely, island-like time flows by. Enjoy fresh fish dishes at a restaurant near the port and relax until the show begins. As the sun sets, viewing spots fill up, so it's reassuring to secure a comfortable spot during this time.

Tips

About a 5-minute drive from the ruins of Katsumoto Castle (勝本城跡). Since the number of restaurants on the island is limited, an early visit is recommended. The fireworks launch from 20:00 to 21:30, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy dinner and secure a spot beforehand.

About 2 hours. Evening is a particularly beautiful time for the harbor scenery.
