Tabira Port, spreading out at the foot of the Hirado Bridge, is itself the venue for tonight's fireworks festival. As evening falls, the sea is dyed by the sunset, and simply strolling along the harbor becomes a pleasant experience. After finishing dinner at a nearby restaurant or festival food stall, secure a viewing spot and wait for the show to begin. The view of the Hirado Bridge is also one of the highlights unique to this port.
Tips
About a 20-minute drive from Hirado Castle (平戸城). From the evening of the fireworks day onward, the roads around the port get congested. It's reassuring to buy food and drinks early. Check the location of restrooms while it's still light out.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 45 minutes. Around sunset is when the port and the Hirado Bridge are dyed most beautifully.
