About this spot

The riverbed of the Shisa River (志佐川), which flows through the town of Shisa, is itself the venue for tonight's fireworks festival. As evening falls, the river breeze feels pleasant, and you can also enjoy the lively food stalls typical of a local summer festival. Spread out a leisure sheet, have dinner, and leisurely watch the sun go down. It's a warm summer evening spent alongside the local residents.

Tips

About a 15-minute drive from Umi no Furusato-kan (海のふるさと館). From the evening of the fireworks day onward, the roads around the riverbed get congested. It's reassuring to buy food and drinks early. Don't forget insect repellent as well.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 45 minutes. Around sunset, the river surface is dyed with the evening glow, making for a pleasant time.
