Dinner at Station Front and Secure Seating Before Fireworks
About this spot
A shopping street at the gateway of Ueda City, spreading out in front of JR and Shinano Railway Ueda Station (上田駅). You can see shop facades decorated with the Sanada clan's Six Coins motif and enjoy dining in an atmosphere characteristic of Ueda. On the fireworks festival day, the street will be crowded with many visitors, so it's recommended to finish dinner early and head to the Chikuma River riverbed.

2026年8月29日(土)開催、信州でも屈指の規模を誇る花火大会です。千曲川河川敷(常田新橋下流)から約8,000発の花火が打ち上がり、大小さまざまなスターマインが夜空を埋め尽くします。真田氏ゆかりの城下町を1日かけて巡った締めくくりにふさわしい、圧倒的なスケールのフィナーレです。上田盆地を囲む山々に音が反響する迫力も、この大会ならではの魅力です。
Tips
荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は上田市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は上田駅周辺と周辺道路が非常に混雑するため、時間差での移動を心がけましょう。夜は冷えることがあるので羽織ものを忘れずに。

About 10 minutes on foot from Yanagi-machi (柳町). From evening onwards on the fireworks festival day, the station front will be very crowded. Walking is recommended for movement to the venue, and if driving, be cautious of traffic congestion.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours required. The 4 PM time slot is relatively calm for dining.
