Held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, this is the climax of the Port Festival & Fireworks, closing out summer in Yoshida Town, the town of shirasu. Fireworks launched into the night sky over Yoshida Port feel especially powerful thanks to the closeness of the compact venue. Together with the bustle of the port festival's food stalls, it's a summer tradition enjoyed by the whole community as one. A night sky befitting the close of a day that began with park play and shirasu food.

Tips

In severe weather, the event is postponed to Monday, August 24 or Tuesday, August 25, with the postponement decision announced at noon on the day. Check Yoshida Town's official announcement for whether the event will go ahead. Roads in the area get crowded after the show ends, so it's recommended to enjoy the afterglow for a while before leaving in a staggered manner.

Best time to visit

The festival starts at 5:30 PM, with the opening ceremony at 7:50 PM and fireworks beginning at 8:00 PM (all times tentative). A spot with a view of the port is recommended.
