This fishing port in Yoshida Town faces Suruga Bay (駿河湾) and boasts one of the largest shirasu catches in the prefecture. In the morning, it's a port where you can see shirasu being unloaded from transport boats and the scene of the fish auction. As evening approaches, food stalls for the port festival begin to line up, bustling with local families. Spreading out a leisure sheet to secure a viewing spot while having dinner from the food stalls is how to spend this part of the day.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Kawajiri Seawall (川尻防潮堤). Some areas have traffic restrictions on the day, so it's reassuring to check Yoshida Town's official information in advance. If you're aiming for a good spot, arriving around 4 PM is recommended.
