About this spot

This is the area around Sagara Port and Sagara Beach (相良港・相良海岸), the fireworks festival venue. As evening approaches, people gathering to watch the fireworks start to arrive, spreading out leisure sheets to relax. Food stalls also appear nearby, making it perfect for picking up dinner while leisurely waiting for the show to begin. It's the prime seat before the fireworks, closing out a day spent touring from the tea-field village to the seaside.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Sagara Kosare Onsen Kaikan (さがら子生れ温泉会館). Some areas have traffic restrictions on the day, so it's reassuring to check Makinohara City's official information in advance. If you're aiming for a good spot, arriving around 4 PM is recommended.

Best time to visit

About 2 hours 15 minutes. You can also enjoy watching the sky's colors change toward sunset.
