About this spot

Standing in the hometown of Detective Conan creator Gosho Aoyama, this museum draws fans from around the world. The yellow Beetle belonging to Dr. Agasa parked out front is a landmark. Inside, exhibits include items the author treasured as a boy, the story of his career as a manga artist, a recreated workspace corner, and original hand-drawn manuscripts, offering plenty of insight into how his work comes to life. The hands-on corner, where you can actually try out inventions and tricks that appear in the series, is popular with children and adults alike. Since the exhibits are mostly indoors, you can take your time here without worrying about the weather even on rainy days, making it the core of the course where you will want to allow plenty of time.

Tips

During long holidays and movie release periods, the museum gets crowded right after opening, so it is more comfortable to enter early in the morning. The hands-on corner tends to have waiting lines, so the trick is to head there first once you are inside. Parking is free and also serves as a base for exploring Conan Street (コナン通り).

Best time to visit

About 2 hours. Right after opening is the least crowded time, letting you enjoy the hands-on corner without waiting.
