Stroll Through the Historic Townscape of Yose, Which Flourished as a Post Town on the Inaba Highway
About this spot
Yose-cho has a history of flourishing as a post town on the Inaba Highway during the Edo period. Even today, old houses that retain glimpses of that era remain scattered throughout the town. A leisurely walk lets you experience the feeling of being an ancient traveler. Walking in the summer sunlight, choosing shaded paths, allows you to feel the quiet time of a mountain village. The Chiyogawa River, where tonight's fireworks will light up the sky, flows right by this town.
