Experience the World of a Renowned Photographer at the Museum Overlooking Mount Daisen
About this spot
A museum exhibiting works by Shoji Ueda, a photographer from Tottori Prefecture. The building's architectural design features Mount Daisen as borrowed scenery, and from the museum windows you can view Mount Daisen's changing seasonal beauty. The numerous works by Ueda, including his lifetime photographs of sand dunes and everyday landscapes, are enjoyable even for those not familiar with photography. It's a perfect spot to spend quiet time before the fireworks display.
Fireworks details
Name:
Date & time: 8/15 (Sat) Time TBA
Venue:
Tips
Tips
The venue in Kishimoto is about 15 minutes by car. The museum's exhibitions change periodically, so it's reassuring to check the official website for opening information in advance. The view of Mount Daisen is particularly beautiful from morning through afternoon.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. The cool interior is a welcome relief during summer.
