About this spot

A museum that introduces the founding of Etajima and the lives of islanders who have long lived alongside the sea. Alongside local history materials, it displays lacquerware by Rokkaku Shisui and books once cherished by Nadao Hirokichi. Visiting after touring the former Naval Academy gives a deeper understanding of the historical flow of Etajima as a whole. It's a compact facility, making it easy to stop by even for a short visit.

Tips

About a 5-minute drive from the JMSDF First Service School. The interior isn't very large, so it's easy to see even in a short time. You'll travel by car to the next stop, Shima no Eki Mamegashima.
