Walking Across a Small Island That Connects to Land with the Tides

About this spot

A small island floating off the coast of Yoshishima Town, known for its sandbank that appears when the tide recedes, allowing visitors to walk to the island. Timing your visit with the low tide to walk across—the Shiokazes Crossing—is a popular experience where you can feel nature's mysteries. From the island, you can take in panoramic views of the calm Seto Inland Sea, perfect for a family stroll. It's also nice to get a preview of the waters where tonight's fireworks will light up the sky.

Venue:

Tips
