About this spot

A small island off the coast of Yorishima-cho, known for the sandbar that appears at low tide, letting visitors walk across to it. Timing your visit with low tide to walk the Shiokaze no Watashi (tide crossing) is a popular way to feel the mystery of nature. From the island, you can take in a sweeping view of the calm Seto Inland Sea, making it a great spot for a family stroll. It's also a good idea to view the sea where fireworks will rise tonight during the day.

Tips

Check the low-tide time in advance before visiting. The footing can be slippery, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
