Festival Begins at 2 PM with Spirited Cheers as Dance Groups Fill the Streets

About this spot

This is the signature summer festival of Fukuchiyama City. In 2026, it will be held from 2 PM to 8 PM at Hiroshoji-dori and Fukuchiyama Station North Exit Park (a separate session is also scheduled from 7 PM to 9 PM on August 25). With spirited chants of 'Dokkoise, Dokkoise,' local dance groups and children parade throughout the streets, and from afternoon through evening, the entire town is dyed in festival colors. As the finale to your Fukuchiyama castle town historical tour, experience the energy of the town-wide dances with your family.
