One of the gateways to Shiroishi Town on the JR Nagasaki Main Line. Before heading to the Shiodome Kannon Festival (潮塞観音祭) held at Shiodome Kannon in the evening, having an early dinner at a restaurant near the station or in the surrounding area lets you head to the night's event feeling settled and unhurried. The area around the station has a calm atmosphere in the evening, making it a good time to catch your breath while reflecting on the day's sightseeing.

Tips

Traveling to Shiodome Kannon by car is convenient. The surrounding roads get dark at night, so it is best to head out early. It is also a good idea to use the restroom here before setting off.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. From the late 3:00 p.m. hour, as the sun begins to lower, is a good time for a relaxed visit.
