From the Reconstructed 2019 Tower, Survey the Cityscape
About this spot
A symbol of Amagasaki, this castle was reconstructed in 2019 through donations from local corporations. It once served as the residence of the Amagasaki domain during the Edo period. From the modern tower, you can survey Amagasaki's cityscape. Inside, exhibits introduce Amagasaki's history and the formation of the castle town, useful for understanding the geography around Kibutsune Shrine where the danjiri festival unfolds at night. The beautiful white walls are a sight in their own right.

尼崎市の貴布禰神社を中心に営まれる「貴布禰神社夏季大祭(尼崎だんじり祭り)」です。2026年は8月1日(土)・2日(日)の2日間にわたって開催され、初日である8月1日は20時から宮入が行われます。太鼓と鉦の音を響かせながら威勢よく曳き回されるだんじりが神社周辺に次々と集まり、境内および隣接する公園には約100軒の屋台が立ち並んで会場全体が熱気に包まれます。昼間に訪れた尼崎城やあまがさきアーカイブズで学んだ城下町の歴史が、夜のだんじりの迫力とともに一層味わい深く感じられるはずです。
Tips
祭り当日は神社周辺が大規模な混雑になり、車両通行止めになる場合があります。公共交通機関の利用が安心です。屋台での買い物には小銭があると便利です。小さな子ども連れは太鼓や鉦の音の大きさに驚くことがあるので、様子を見ながら距離を調整しましょう。
