About this spot

This temple is known for a great wisteria over 100 years old, and its calm grounds can be enjoyed for a stroll even outside the spring wisteria season. The well-tended garden trees and approach path are beautiful throughout the four seasons, perfect for spending a quiet moment. Visiting together with Iko-ji Temple lets you experience the temple and shrine culture of Sosa even more deeply.

Tips

In summer, the shade on the grounds is pleasant and can also serve as a rest spot. If you'd like a goshuin (temple seal), check the reception hours. It's a walk from the parking lot to the grounds.

Best time to visit

About 50 minutes. Early afternoon is a calm time for a peaceful visit.
