八日市場の中心に鎮座する八重垣神社で営まれる祇園祭です。2026年は8月4日から5日までの2日間、18時40分から22時にかけて開催され、祇園囃子の音色とともに山車が周辺地域を練り歩きます。江戸時代から続くとされる歴史ある祭りで、地域の人々が一体となって盛り上げる伝統の熱気を間近で感じられます。飯高寺や妙福寺で寺社文化にふれた1日の締めくくりに、家族で夜の祭りを楽しみましょう。
Tips
山車の巡行ルートや時間は年によって変わることがあるため、当日の案内を確認しておくと安心です。人出が多くなる時間帯もあるので、小さな子ども連れは手をつないで移動しましょう。夜は気温が下がることがあるので羽織ものがあると快適です。
Tips
The shade in the temple grounds is pleasant in summer and can serve as a rest spot. If you wish to receive a temple stamp (goshuin), confirm the office hours. Walking from the parking area to the temple grounds is required.

About 50 minutes. Early afternoon is a calm time for worship.
