This shopping street spreads out in front of Yokaichiba Station, the heart of Sosa City, lined with restaurants and shops rooted in the local community. As the Gion Festival approaches in the evening, you can see people heading toward the festival, and the town begins to fill with pre-festival excitement. Before heading to Yaegaki Shrine, have a proper dinner here to prepare for the festival.
Tips
The street can get crowded from evening onward on the day of the festival, so entering earlier is recommended. Since the shrine isn't too far away, you can walk there after your meal.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes. Around 4 p.m. is relatively calm for enjoying a meal.
