A park just a short walk from Sayama-shi Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot. In summer, lush greenery provides pleasant shade ideal for morning walks. Venue: 狭山市・狭山市駅西口市民広場〜七夕通り商店街

狭山市駅西口市民広場から七夕通り商店街にかけて、2026年は8月1日・2日の12時から21時まで開催される市民総出の夏祭りです。商店街の頭上には色とりどりの七夕飾りが連なり、夏空の下で夏らしい華やかな景観をつくり出します。8月1日は12時から20時30分まで七夕通り商店街沿道に屋台が並び、昼から夜まで長時間にわたって賑わいます。正午の開始直後の明るい飾りの表情と、夜に照明が灯った幻想的な表情の両方を1日で楽しめるのも、この祭りならではの魅力です。

Tips

祭りは長時間にわたるため、こまめな休憩と水分補給を心がけましょう。日中は日差しが強いため、日よけ対策をしっかりと。夜は人出が増えるため、子どもとはぐれないよう注意しましょう。
