Here you can enjoy fish dishes centered on fresh seafood sourced from local markets, Japanese-style set meals pairing Yamaga-grown rice with fresh vegetables, and hand-pulled soba noodles made daily by skilled craftsmen. It is reassuring to have an early dinner here before heading to the front of the Kitsuki City Hall Yamaga Branch Office, the festival venue. Once the sun sets, the area around the venue becomes crowded, so it is recommended to finish your meal while it is still light out. The quiet townscape at dusk also offers a taste of Yamaga's own particular charm.
