One of Osaka's most expansive comprehensive parks, housing the Osaka Museum of Natural History, Nagai Botanical Garden, and an athletic stadium. Located close to Sumiyoshi Taisha (住吉大社), it's an ideal morning destination before heading to the festival to build energy while enjoying nature.

「大阪の夏祭りの締めくくり」とも呼ばれる住吉大社最大の祭礼で、2026年は7月30日(木)から8月1日(土)まで行われます。初日30日は16時からの宵宮祭を皮切りに祭りムードが高まり、境内一帯には出店が並びます。翌31日から8月1日には本社での例大祭に続き、神輿が住吉大社から堺市の宿院頓宮まで渡御する神事も行われる、大阪でも屈指の規模を誇る夏祭りです。夏越の祓としての意味合いも持ち、家族の無病息災を願う参拝者で境内が賑わいます。
Tips
境内は広く、出店エリアも分散しているため、事前にトイレの場所を確認しておくと安心です。周辺道路は混雑・規制がかかることがあるため、公共交通機関の利用がおすすめです。日が落ちる18時以降は提灯の灯りが一段と美しくなります。
