Pay respects at the water-sprinkling Fudo statue and stroll the atmospheric stone-paved lane
About this spot
A charming stone-paved alleyway south of Dotonbori, known for its unique practice of sprinkling water on the Fudo statue at the Hozen-ji Temple. The moss-covered stone statue, weathered from centuries of wish-offerings, is particularly striking. Traditional dining establishments line both sides, and despite its daytime hours, the alley retains an authentic Osaka downtown atmosphere that contrasts with Dotonbori's bustle.
