In the Koide district at the center of Nagai, which once flourished as a hub for Mogami River boat transportation, old warehouses and merchant houses still remain along the waterway flowing through the town. Walking while listening to the sound of water in the waterway conveys the former prosperity of this town through boat transportation. Cherished as a landscape symbolizing "Nagai, the water town," this walking course allows you to feel the coolness of the waterside even in the summer sun.
Tips
It is only a few minutes by car from Nagai Ayame Park. The paths along the waterway can be narrow in places, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
