2026年8月8日、長井市で開催される「ながい水まつり くるんと」は、最上川と町なかの水路とともに歩んできたこの町ならではの夏まつりです。「水と緑と花のまち」を掲げる長井らしく、涼やかな水辺の雰囲気の中で家族連れが楽しめる催しが繰り広げられ、夕方から夜にかけてまち全体がにぎわいます。花笠まつりのような大規模な踊りのパレードとはまた違う、地域に根ざした親しみやすい雰囲気が魅力の夏の一夜です。
