About this spot
The Higashine Festival, held August 10-11, 2026, around Higashine City Hall, is a signature summer festival with two main attractions: 'Dance Competitions' from 5 PM to 9:30 PM and the 'Tanabata Lantern Procession' from 6:30 PM to 9 PM. The sight of countless lanterns being carried through town is magical, and the passion of dancers moving to drums and music brings Higashine's summer night to a close.
