A shrine with nearly 400 years of history, serving as the chief shrine of Morioka clan, affectionately called "Hachiman-san" by locals. The spacious grounds feature a main hall, musical performance hall, and numerous smaller shrine buildings, with cool green tree shade even in summer. During festival season, many visitors come to pray for summer safety and good harvests, a testament to the deep-rooted faith in this community. Even a walk around the grounds allows you to absorb the calm atmosphere of a castle town.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Iwate Park. The spacious grounds require comfortable shoes. During the summer festival season, antique fairs are sometimes held.

Approximately 50 minutes. The shaded areas become pleasantly cool as evening approaches
