Yassugi's summer festival with lights inspired by the moon ring illuminating the harbor

About this spot

The Yassugi Moon Ring Festival is a community-wide summer festival held around the center of Yassugi City in the Yassugi area and surrounding Yassugi Harbor. In 2026, it will be held for 4 days from August 14-17, with food stalls and events lining the harbor area, and lights inspired by the moon ring (the festival's namesake) decorating the harbor at night. Performances of Yassugi Bushi and dojo fish scooping dances are sometimes held, allowing you to enjoy Yassugi's traditional performing arts again at night in the festival venue, having previewed them during the day. Under the gentle night breeze unique to a harbor town, you can spend the summer evening as one with the local community.
