Located at the summit of Kanamine Mountain at 452 meters elevation, the island's highest point, this observation platform offers 360-degree views of the countless islands dotting the Seto Inland Sea. On clear days, you can even see the mountain ranges of Shikoku. Since you can drive to near the summit, families can easily enjoy the spectacular views without strenuous climbing. 大崎上島の夏を締めくくる恒例のイベントで、大串海水浴場・大串キャンプ場を舞台に開催されます。目玉は20時から20時20分までのわずか20分間に凝縮された花火の打ち上げ。海に面した砂浜や芝生の広場から、夜空に開く花火をゆったりと眺められるのが島の祭りならではの魅力です。短い時間だからこそ、家族で見逃さないよう早めに場所を確保しておくのがおすすめです。島の夏の一日を締めくくるにふさわしい、静かで美しいフィナーレです。
Tips
花火は20分間と短いため、開始時刻の30分前には場所を確保しておくと安心です。夜間は足元が暗くなるので懐中電灯があると便利です。キャンプ場利用者以外も見学できますが、駐車スペースには限りがあります。

Some sections of the mountain road near the summit are narrow, so drive carefully. The observation platform area has little shade, so bring a hat and plenty of water.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 1 hour. Morning through early afternoon offers the clearest views of distant islands.
