From this observation platform overlooking Minokotoku Bay to the south of Shishikui, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the complex Rias coastline terrain and the unique landscape created by aquaculture rafts floating in the bay. Unlike the rough waves of the Pacific Ocean, the calm water surface within the bay gradually reflects gentle light as evening approaches, soothing your travel-weary heart. The view from the observation platform makes you realize that this region has lived alongside the sea.

徳島県最南端、海陽町宍喰地区に鎮座する宍喰八幡神社で、地域に古くから受け継がれてきた秋祭りです。2026年は9月26日・27日の2日間開催され、初日の宵宮には境内に屋台が並び、地元の人々や旅行者で賑わいます。太平洋を望む海辺の集落らしく、潮の香りと祭り囃子が入り混じる境内の雰囲気は、都市部の大規模な祭りとはまた違った温かみがあります。地域の結びつきを感じられる、家族で参加しやすい祭りです。
Tips
境内や参道は夜間暗くなる箇所があるため、懐中電灯があると安心です。屋台の営業時間や内容は年によって変わることがあるため、当日の様子を見ながら楽しみましょう。荒天時の開催可否は事前に確認を。
