Bordering the south side of Nagoya Castle, this shrine is notable for its spacious grounds and abundant greenery. Located right beside the castle's outer moat and stone walls, it's a shady spot ideally suited for a break between rounds of castle sightseeing. Away from the bustle of the city center, the grounds offer a peaceful setting that families can enjoy at a relaxed pace.

Tips

The grounds are spacious, with shaded benches scattered throughout, making it a good place to rest in summer. It's just a short walk from Nagoya Castle, so you can drop by easily between castle visits. Admission is free.

Best time to visit

About 40 minutes. A good time to catch your breath during the strong afternoon sun.
